Great ratings are a start. What does the trip cost?

A highly rated resort can still be the wrong pick for your family. Let’s look at the price, the room and what’s included before you fall in love with the photos.

Know what the numbers measure.

These ratings are averaged guest review scores drawn from TripAdvisor, Google, Costco and Expedia. It combines available guest-review scores from TripAdvisor, Google, Costco and Expedia. They are not ratings from Travel by Trinidad.

Ratings and prices can change. Use these examples to narrow your shortlist, then request a current quote for your dates and party.

How the value score works

((average rating − 80) / price in USD) × 1,000, rounded to two decimals.

The score counts rating points above 80 for every $1,000 of the sample price. Use it to spot resorts worth a closer look. A score of 4 doesn’t mean four times the vacation, and a lower score doesn’t rule out a resort with something you really want.

Compare six resort options.

These sample prices are for seven nights around March 2027, using the closest available dates where needed. They’re based on two adults and two children in the lowest-priced refundable room booked direct. Flights are excluded. We still need to check rooms, meal plans and current availability for your family.

These are not identical packages. Room sizes and meal plans vary, and a listing under “family” doesn’t mean the sampled rate includes all your food and drinks. We’ll check that before recommending a booking.

Check the room before celebrating the price.

Here’s why the room check matters. Hotel NYX Cancun caps its rooms at three guests. That doesn’t work as a one-room price for a family of four. We’ve left it out of the table until we can confirm a room arrangement and price that fit.

Five of you traveling? Send us the kids’ ages first. We’ll check whether one room works, whether you need two, and what each option costs.

Then add the flights and transfers. Saving on the hotel doesn’t help much if getting there eats up the difference.

Questions before you book.

What does the value ratio mean?

It compares guest ratings with a sample room price. The formula is ((average rating − 80) / price in USD) × 1,000, rounded to two decimals. A higher number can help you spot an option worth pricing, but it doesn’t tell you which resort you’ll enjoy more.

What dates and travelers do these prices cover?

These sample prices cover seven nights around March 2027 in the lowest-priced refundable room booked directly with the resort. Where exact dates were unavailable, the closest available dates were used. Family prices are for two adults and two children. Flights are excluded. We’ll need a fresh quote for your trip.

Does the highest index identify the best resort for my family?

No. A good price won’t make up for a room that’s too small or a resort that doesn’t suit your kids. Start with what your family needs, then compare the cost. These six examples are a starting point, not a best-resorts list.

Can a family of five use these family prices?

Not as your trip total. The family prices are based on two adults and two children, and even those need a room check. Hotel NYX Cancun, for example, is marked “Max 3 per Room.” Send us everyone’s ages so we can price a room arrangement that actually fits.

How should we compare all-inclusive packages?

Keep the dates and travelers the same, then check the room, food and drinks, flights, transfers and cancellation rules. Those details can explain a big price difference. We’ll help you compare the whole trip, not just the hotel number.
