The Manhattan Cruise Terminal sits on the Hudson at West 55th Street. It's where Norwegian and Carnival sail from New York, and for a lot of North Jersey travelers it's one tunnel away. Here's who sails from it, and how to get there.

Norwegian Bliss sails from New York from November 1, 2026 to April 9, 2027, on 8-night Bahamas and 12-night Caribbean round trips, with a few Bermuda trips at the end. Norwegian Luna takes over on April 6, 2027 with Bermuda round trips through October 7.

Carnival Firenze sails from Manhattan from May 27 to November 2, 2027: Carnival's 4- to 7-day Bermuda and Canada trips, a Canada and New England trip, and 8-day Eastern Caribbean sailings to Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk. The season ends with a 12-day Southern Caribbean one-way to Port Canaveral.

Princess says its New York cruises use either the Manhattan or the Brooklyn terminal, so the terminal on your documents is the one that counts. Its fall Canada and New England sailings are covered on the Brooklyn page.
Luxury and expedition lines start or finish the occasional voyage here, often a transatlantic or a Canada and New England trip. In September 2026 alone the terminal calendar shows Oceania, Regent, Viking, Azamara and Holland America ships.

Take the Lincoln Tunnel, follow the signs to 42nd Street, turn left on 42nd, and go three blocks to 12th Avenue. Turn right, go about half a mile, and turn left at 55th Street. Every car enters the terminal from the north, at 55th Street and 12th Avenue.
As of September 2026, NYCEDC lists cruise parking at $45 per night, taxes included, credit card only, with no extra charge for SUVs. You can reserve through the terminal's official parking link, but parking is not guaranteed for every passenger. Arriving between 10 am and 2 pm gives you the best shot. Driving a tall van? The terminal lists a height limit of about 8 feet, so check before you go.
If you're parking, park first, then bring your bags to the second level for check-in. You can't drop bags and then leave to park. A friend's car, a taxi or a car service can drop you at the door, and there's a taxi stand outside for the trip home.
NYCEDC recommends public transit. It points subway riders to Columbus Circle (A, C, B, D and 1 trains), then a walk to the pier. The M57 crosstown bus runs on 57th Street, and the ferry's St. George route stops at Midtown West, West 39th Street. NYCEDC also names the Port Authority Bus Terminal as the closest bus terminal, which is where many buses from New Jersey arrive.

At 711 12th Avenue at West 55th Street, on Manhattan's West Side along the Hudson River. It's the pier complex at Piers 88 and 90, and cars enter from 55th Street and 12th Avenue.
Norwegian sails from Manhattan nearly year-round: Norwegian Bliss in winter 2026-27 and Norwegian Luna from April to October 2027. Carnival Firenze sails from May to November 2027. Princess uses Manhattan or Brooklyn, and luxury lines like Oceania, Regent and Viking run occasional one-way voyages.

Use the arrival time your cruise line gives you at check-in. NYCEDC says baggage processing starts no earlier than 9:30 am and boarding generally begins between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. There are no luggage lockers at the terminal.
It depends on the line more than the drive. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity sail only from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, which you can reach without crossing into the city. Norwegian and Carnival sail from Manhattan. We'll tell you the trade-offs for your town when we plan.
